| I've always loved listening and seeing her perform. I like her interpretation of Yesterday I Heard the Rain.
However, I think Tony Bennett's interpretation is closer to the sentiment that the song needs. Still, I like both versions. Most singers nowadays are more concerned with what type of gyrations they can perform. But muck like that doesn't last the test of time, only great singers who treat the art with respect. Keep singing Shirley, we love you. |

| Love it! Shirley's trademark power, emotion, and nuance. Plus, she looked just gorgeous!.........Can you imagine what it must be like to sing for an audience and have a camera circling you onstage for filming AND to have someone taking stills at the foot of the stage, while you're performing? That takes discipline and being present "in the moment" so you can tell an authentic and believable story that touches the audience in the room as well as the TV audience! |
